The Pittosculptures of Carla Pitarelli seen through the thought of the art critic Giorgio Palumbi
Today 18 May 2018 at the Crocetti Museum in Rome, an exceptional event happens, it can be dated because it happens that after expressionism we enter the third millennium of the art of telematics and computers which replace the brush, the spatula and they know how to do it with great capacity.
The author Carla Pitarelli has set a milestone in the art of the world, it is truly a historical event, we were talking about it today on TG5 Arte because when we talked about Greco-Roman art, Renaissance art, post-industrial art, graffiti expressionism etc. they were all historical moments, today there is a new moment in art it is the art of telematics it is the art of the third millennium, a complex art in which a whole set of digital techniques, electronics, telematics is involved and this it allowed me to accept it and recognize that I am a loser, I who was a collector of impressionist art, the 19th century was a sublime period for me, and that I experienced artists of all types, young, less young, but all young at heart, with all their techniques, I have always rejected digital art, because I considered it a cold art, in which a programmer appears and does not appear, I don't know how we can free ourselves from this presence, but one thing is certain that Carla Pitarelli's work marks a new era of art.
These exceptional three-dimensional luminous works were created through taste, imagination and skill using electronics, with great skill.
Digital composition with photography and painting with mouse and LEDs mark these works as a stage for the future, because today young people no longer have brushes and markers, they have immediately acquired the tablet, they have the mobile phone, they have other tools and use other techniques to express yourself.
This is a new beginning, a historical change, the starting point that will be different from the past, and how often human beings have managed to change throughout history.
In this regard, I am happy and proud to announce that there will soon be the Manifesto of the artists of the New Millennium in which Caarla Pitarelli will be the progenitor."
